The Blue Planet 2000

The Blue Planet 2000 is a 4X game and can be described as a variant on Civilization. The game starts in 6000 BC and the player controls a nation during its development through history. The faction expands over the planet (either the earth or any random generated environment) by establishing new cities and dealing with other factions, either through diplomacy or violence. Other important aspects are raw materials management, keeping citizens satisfied and exploring new technologies.
